Thought I'd toss up a few images I've taken over the last week. You wouldn't know we're in a drought of nearly 10" below normal rainfall, with only 2.5" in the last four months. Right (native) plant, right place.

Let's Talk Native Plants
I'm talking in a park on Saturday (10/6) and I'll be on the radio Wednesday (10/10).
VegFest
Lincoln's final celebration of gardening, nature, and environment is at Holmes Lake Park from 2-5:30 this Saturday (NW side of the park). At 3:15 I'll be talking native plants for wildlife, giving away seeds / plants, and selling my book. Lots of other things going on like food and plant vendors, rain barrel painting, plant potting, farmer's market, hawks flying, little critters to hold, master gardeners giving advice, etc.
KZUM
From 11-Noon central next Wednesday I'll be on KZUM's (89.3) How's It Groin'. I'll get in trouble discussing prairie plants in the home landscape, insects, birds, dirt--how you better NOT cut down your garden in fall if you like wildlife.... There's a live internet stream, too.
