Fall Means Planting Season

I see back to school ads and football reports, so am humming "lalalalala" to myself with hands over my ears. Not ready. But did you know fall is perhaps the BEST time to plant? Everyone thinks it's spring -- probably because we're desperate to get outside and nurseries spring up in parking lots -- but fall is often cool and damp, meaning less stress for new plants. Plus, over winter those plants develop root systems and are that much more ready to thrive next year and require a bit less babying. Invite me over for a consult! Fall is my favorite season and I need to get out more.

Come See Us at Lincoln Farmer's Markets!

Got cool stuff for you coming up at two Lincoln farmer's markets this next month. We'll have a monarch game for kids to play, caterpillars to hold (sometimes butterflies too), milkweed to admire, and cuttings of flowering natives to inspire to you dig this fall and help native pollinating insects.

Sunday 7/21 -- Old Cheney Road Farmer's Market -- 10am to 2pm

Thursday 8/8 -- Fallbrook Farmer's Market -- 4:30 to 8pm

Sunday 9/8 -- Old Cheney Road Farmer's Market -- 10am to 2pm
